Mumbai Police Arrest 24-Year-Old Woman for Threat Against UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath

In a startling development, Mumbai Police have arrested a 24-year-old woman, Fatima Khan, in connection with a threatening message directed at Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. The message, which allegedly threatened Adityanath with death unless he resigns within ten days, has raised serious security concerns amid a rising trend of similar threats in the region.

The threat was communicated through a WhatsApp message sent to the Mumbai Traffic Police control room, stating that Adityanath would be murdered “like Baba Siddique” if he did not step down from his position. Following an investigation, authorities traced the message back to Khan’s phone number. Sources indicate that she holds a BSc degree in Information Technology and has been facing mental health challenges. Khan resides in Thane, a suburb near Mumbai, with her family, who are involved in the timber business.

This incident follows a series of death threats that have plagued Mumbai recently, particularly against Bollywood actor Salman Khan. The threats escalated after a shooting incident outside Salman Khan’s residence earlier this year, which police attributed to the Lawrence Bishnoi gang. Several individuals, including a vegetable seller from Jamshedpur and a tattoo artist from Noida, have been apprehended in connection with these threats.

The recent threat against Adityanath is also connected to the murder of former politician Baba Siddique, who was shot dead near his son’s office on October 12. The shooter was reportedly associated with the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, which has been known to target high-profile individuals. Siddique was known to have close ties with Salman Khan, further intertwining the cases.

As investigations continue, Mumbai Police are questioning those arrested for their alleged involvement in sending these threats. Meanwhile, security measures for Salman Khan have been intensified in response to the ongoing threats against him.
