Chhattisgarh: Police in Bastar Division have arrested three individuals, including two relatives, in connection with the murder of journalist Mukesh Chandrakar. His body was discovered in a freshly sealed septic tank at a shed owned by a contractor on Friday. Chandrakar, who had been missing since New Year's Day, was last seen leaving his home in Bijapur's Pujari Para. His brother, Yukesh Chandrakar, had filed a missing persons report the following day.

In a tragic incident, three soldiers from paramilitary forces lost their lives, and 14 others sustained injuries in an encounter with Maoists along the border of Sukma and Bijapur districts in Chhattisgarh on Tuesday. The encounter occurred near Tekalgudem village when a joint team of security personnel, including the Special Task Force, District Reserve Guard, and the Commando Battalion for Resolute Action (CoBRA), a jungle warfare unit of CRPF, was conducting a search operation.
